Establishment of Munna Lal & Jai Narayan Khemka Girls College is a boon to the higher education of women in district Saharanpur. With the inspiration of great visionary, Padam Sri, Seth Badri Prasad Bajoria, college was founded in July 1966 in the memory of Seth Munna Lal ji, a well known philanthropist. Further, Shri Jai Narayan Khemka contributed generously for the expansion of the college building. The college, which began with only four teachers and ninety-six students, soon achieved the status of premium woman institution of higher studies under the exemplary guidance and leadership of Dr. Km. A. Kamla. With continuous sturdy march the college now imparts education to nearly 2300 regular students in Arts and Commerce faculty, offering 10 subjects in Undergraduate and 8 subjects in Postgraduate Programme. The college is also Research Centre in 8 subjects conducting researches under capable guidance of faculty. NCC, Ranger, NSS and Sports units in the college, ensure all conducive atmosphere for personality development and community orientation of the students.
Committed to quality education, the college has organized two-day
national seminar in 2013 on "Vision Indian an Interdisciplinary
Approach" and in 2015, "Education Application for Nation Building"
both sponsored by Higher Education, Allahabad. For Quality
enhancement IQAC workshop was also conducted. In 2016 college
was accredited 'B' in the 2 nd cycle of NAAC. After completing 50
years of its golden journey, the college looks ahead the challenges of
quality sustenance in higher education and development of human
spirit and mind.
